Organic skincare is all around us, and just like organic food, we’re told it’s so much better for us than other brands we might have trusted for years. We want to take a look at what makes it different. What makes it so special?
We’ve all become used to lots of words and phrases related to the pandemic this year, but one that’s especially unwelcome is ‘maskne’. As the name suggests, maskne is localized acne or spots, caused by the coverings we have to wear to keep us safe.
At ishga on the Isle of Lewis, we’ll have our usual longer nights and shorter days and enjoy bracing walks on the beach, with clean, fresh air and wide-open skies. Christmas in the Hebrides is, as you’d imagine, a community affair, usually celebrated in cosy homes with good neighbours. We may not experience the fun of our traditional celidh this year, or a Hogmany celebration with friends, but we’ll enjoy ourselves and count our blessings.
